Tell us a little bit about your business…
Grey Lily Photography was started almost 6 years ago when I received my first DSLR as a Birthday gift. I always loved photography but now I was able to take my passion to a new level! In the beginning, I photographed mostly families and children and just in the past two years or so, I have really broken into the wedding industry.
What are you known for?
I’d say I’m known for my style. Very natural, “candid”, romantic. My clients always say how comfortable I make them feel and what a great time they have during our session. That’s one of the most important things to me really. That not only do they love the images but that they enjoy their session so much that they talk about it with a smile on their face and share their experience with family and friends.
What do you like the most about the event industry?
I think what I enjoy most aside from the actual wedding or event itself, is the community of people and vendors you meet along the way. I have met so MANY wonderful people in the past few years, you really can’t compare anything to that!

What makes your business unique?
I think what makes my business unique is the same as what makes EVERYONE’S business unique. It’s mine. It’s theirs. It’s a reflection of who we are as individuals. Our passions. Our strengths and weaknesses. I put my whole heart into my photography and I believe that that shows. That’s all I can hope for!
Can you tell us a time when you knew you were in the right industry?
It was at my very first Wedding Show this past spring. Boutique Wedding Market. From the moment, I walked in, I felt like I was in the “right” place. Like I was part of something wonderful. That was huge turning point in my career.
What do you usually tell people before an event?
Before any Wedding, I like to tell the Bride and Groom how important it is to have some time for just the two of them. The other images are important too. But the ones of just them; the quiet, romantic moments. Those are the ones they’ll look back on for years to come. Those are the ones that they will hang in their home. And of course, I always tell them to laugh, have fun and enjoy EVERY minute!
If you were stranded on an Island and could only bring one item, what would it be?
Ha ha, that’s a tough one! I’d say my camera but I’d be lying if I didn’t say my cell phone. Is there WIFI on this island?!
Why did you join Event Core?
How could I not?! When I met with Shannon, Faye and Alyssa I instantly loved all of them! They have such a passion for what they do and they genuinely want others in the industry to be successful as well. I went in to our first meeting with no expectations and came out smiling and feeling like I had just hit the jackpot! It’s such an amazing group of people to be a part of and I am HONORED that they asked me to join as their 5th and final Photographer
